Early Life
Anu Emmanuel was born to an Malayali-Indian family in Chicago, Illinois, United States. Anu is the daughter of Thankachan Emmanuel who works as a producer in the Malayalam film industry and Nimmy Emmanuel. After completing her schooling in Kerala, Anu moved to back to the U.S. to pursue further studies. Anu has one older brother. Her family is settled in Dallas, Texas. Indian film actress and model, Reba Monica John, is her cousin.Career
Emmanuel was born in the US and lived most of her childhood in Dallas, Texas. She acted in Swapna Sanchari while she was attending school in India. Upon completion of the film, she went back to US to finish her high school. While in high school, Anu knew she wanted to pursue something in the artistic field. She made her acting debut as lead in Nivin Pauly starrer Action Hero Biju which was directed by Abrid Shine. She made her Telugu debut with Majnu opposite to Nani. The film went on become a hit at box-office. During that time she was announced as the female lead in Oxygen, alongside actor Gopichand in the lead. In 2017, She made her Tamil debut with Thupparivaalan alongside Vishal. In 2018, She paired opposite to Pawan Kalyan in Agnyaathavaasi. She played lead roles in Naa Peru Surya along with Allu Arjun and Shailaja Reddy Alludu along with Naga Chaitanya and Ramya Krishna. She made a cameo appearance in Geetha Govindam. She appeared in her second Tamil film Namma Veetu Pillai opposite to Sivakarthikeyan which became successful at the box-office.Filmography
